HOMEOWNER INSURANCE

Including Renters, Condo Unit Owners, Manufactured and Mobile Homeowners

I hear all these terms:  Replacement Value, Market Value, Appraisal Value.  What do they mean?

Why does my mortgagee insist that the amount of my insurance be the same as the amount of my loan?  Does my homeowner policy insure my land?

Why does my insurance agent ask so many questions when all I want is a quote?

I rent an apartment.  I don't need to buy insurance because my landlord's policy covers me, right?

How often do I need to review my homeowner insurance?

I own a Condo.  Why does my insurance agent need to see the Condo Association's By-laws?  Why can't she just write me a policy?

I recently sold my home when I retired and bought a Manufactured Home.  Why am I having such a hard time getting insurance and why does it cost so much more than the insurance on my house?
